2011 Holiday Season is Almost Here!
To everyone the holiday's are a time of
thankfulness, giving, family and loved one's, and some mighty good food!
To firefighter's we see each holiday season a change in the types of
calls we go on to serve the public. The holiday season to firefighter's
means an increase in Carbon Monoxide calls, Chimney Fires, Cooking
Fires, Electrical Fires or Hazardous Conditions, and finally Structure
Fires. This year be prepared to have a great holiday season! Have your
HVAC systems checked for proper function, clean chimneys or wood
burners, be careful cooking and how you are cooking, set up holiday
lights by manufacturer recommendations, and finally practice FIRE SAFETY
AND PREVENTION EVERYDAY!!!!!!!
