This web site is administrated by Ian Ging and Mike Cangilla with input  from all Highland members.

This site was designed to be viewed using Microsoft Internet Explorer version 5.01 or Netscape Navigator version 4.7 or better. Your computer's monitor should be set to display  not less that 256 colors, with a resolution of at least 800x600 pixels.  If you have your browser's Java/JavaScript capability, the site will still function, but you'll miss some of the effects.

On the top of your screen is the primary navigation device.  By rolling your mouse to and clicking on a particular word, you will be taken to that section.  What follows is a more detailed inventory of each category:

You may encounter pages identified as being "under construction."  This is one of the great irks of the web, and we promise to keep this to a minimum and further, that any page which must be taken down for construction will be restored as soon as possible.

• HOME     This is the top-level page in our site. The home page provides links to the most-visited pages on our site. If you ever become "lost" inside our site, click the "Home" button and you'll be back in Kansas in no time. The home page features the most current information regarding Highland's activities. Whenever we respond to a particularly interesting call, the details will be found on the home page.  This is also where you'll find information regarding upcoming events, such as parades, school appearances, charitable details, and department/personnel achievements.  This is also where notice of new content added to the site will be posted.

• MEMBERS     The place to get the lowdown on our membership.  Here you'll find a list of our officers and firefighters & associate members.

• APPARATUS     This is where you can learn about the tools of firefighting.  Sections devoted to our vehicles and the equipment they carry.

• PHOTOS     Here you will find a variety of pictures from Highland.

• CALL STATISTICS     Here you will find the numbers and types of calls we respond to each month and each year, some of the numbers in "Stats" may surprise you!

• FIRE PREVENTION   Fire safety tips for the whole family and even the babysitter! Kidz Zone and more! 

• RECRUITING    Here you will find information regarding becoming a member of Highland.

• FUNDRAISING     This link discusses our fundraising efforts.
